We have reserved the large Andrew lodge (air conditioned)
at the beautiful Grace Church Camp just outside of DeWitt for our 2009 family
reunion. You will find the setting to be very lovely and peaceful. Plenty of
space to enjoy the outdoors with a playground for the children and outdoor
basketball and volleyball courts for the older folks. There is also a stocked
pond for fishing. You may come earlier than 4:00 p.m. on Saturday if you wish
but adult supervision for children at the pond is required at all times. Take
a stroll or just enjoy the park-like setting from the picture windows in the
lodge while you renew acquaintances and catch up on the latest family news.
There are many attractions in the Quad City area to enjoy if
you wish to make your stay a little longer. Nearby DeWitt has an aquatic center/water slide
with an entry level pool. The town square is the new home to an authentic
Hausbarn complete with thatched roof shipped from Germany and reassembled
with old world craftsmanship. DeWitt has a very quaint theatre with cheap
movies and popcorn!
Museums, IMAX theatre, Figge Art Museum,
minor league baseball on the Davenport riverfront, bike trails, plenty of
shopping, casinos, camping and the great Mississippi River within a half hour
drive from DeWit.

For the adventurous, there are barrack type bunk beds in
the back of the lodge - $8.00 per person for Saturday night Bring your own
bedding. No bedding or towels furnished. Please let us know in advance
if you wish to stay because we will need to let the camp know in advance.

Note: There is no camping at the church camp but
there are several campgrounds nearby. We can help in registering any campers
at one of the area campgrounds. We would be happy to assist with

bring items for the auction to offset cost of postage and reunion facility,
etc. Something from the garden, baked item, handmade items, photography…
anything of interest. Or bring something you have but no longer need or want.
It’s always a fun highlight of the reunion.

Grace Camp:
Grace Camp is located just west of DeWitt at
2675 242nd Street. From Highway 61, take the Hwy 30 west exit.
Turn south (left) on 240th Avenue and immediately turn left on the frontage
road (242nd St) and follow the road into Camp.
